About

I'm Hedy Herrada, a Product Designer based in Santiago, Chile. I design data products for retail: dashboards, reports and analytics features that turn business rules into clear interfaces. I work through the full design process, from discovery to user testing, with a technical background in programming and cybersecurity.

Profile

I'm a Product Designer at a retail analytics SaaS platform. I started as a UX/UI Designer on the redesign of the BI platform, working on information architecture, navigation, dashboards and the design system. Today I design data models, functional specifications and the UI/UX of new features, such as sales target allocation per salesperson and staffing control per store.

I follow the full design process: discovery, user research with users and stakeholders, definition, prototyping and usability testing. I work in Scrum alongside the development team and the Product Owner, take part in technical refinements and make scope and priority decisions. I document business rules before they reach development, so the team builds on a clear definition.

My background in cybersecurity and programming lets me assess feasibility with engineers and build working prototypes in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python. I use Claude and Codex to take those prototypes into code and validate them with users before development.

I have also worked on academic projects, such as the ComunidadFeliz redesign for the Coderhouse UX/UI Diploma. I work with Figma, FigJam, Miro, Maze, Notion, YouTrack and Slack. English level C1 (EF SET).
